What I have enjoyed most about my nursing career has been the relationships I have developed with both patients and their families. Though my over 30 years in nursing experience has been varied—from working as a hospital based nurse in medical/cardiac care, and as a director of nursing with two large hospital corporations—it has been my last 16 years practicing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner that has been most rewarding. My Master's degrees in Nursing Administration and in Nurse Practitioner blend nicely for facilitating the coordination of patient care. My areas of clinical emphasis are in health maintenance, prevention and education. I have particular interest in diabetes and osteoporosis education. I am an adjunct faculty member at Beth El School of Nursing as a nurse practitioner preceptor. God has given much to me over the years including a loving family, my health and skill sets. I try to give back by volunteering at a local low-income health clinic, community education programs, vaccination clinic and as a parish nurse.

Tony Volz practices at the Internal Medicine Specialists of Colorado Springs (IMSOCS) office south of Fillmore St. between Cascade Ave. and N. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs.
